My Xbox has broken down two times now and Ive had them fixed both times with warranty expired I believe. Call Microsoft's Support Number found somewhere inside the manual and tell them your problem, they will ask for the id number of your xbox, give it to them. They should ship you a box for you to package the 360 in, then they will ship you a new one. Atleast this is whats happened to me, I live in Canada, dont know if there is a difference. Ive bought a fan for the back and havent had problems yet.
