bloodworms should be used only as treats not for there main diet

what kind of food would you recommend

Just go with Tropical flakes. There's so many good quality flakes ... yeah I know ... sounds weird ... quality flakes. Some are really jammed with lots of nutrients.

You could also go with pellets I suppose ... and just save the bloodworms for a once or twice a week snack.

its a 29 gal with a 5 blue mickey mouse platty and 3 green tiger barbs and 1 dojo loach

im not good with stocking but if space permits up the barbs to 6 they get nippy without a proper school. and id suggest feeding a good pellet and a sinking wafer or blanched veggies for the loach

New Life Spectrum is a great investment. You can always do a little research. There are millions of different pellets/flakes for you to choose. Flakes can be a little on the messy side and cause some bloating. I prefer pellets.

floating pellets or sinking ones

Yes, blanching means boiling them and then stocking the cooking process. Learned that from another member on here, just thought I'd share with you :)
