I have a 10 gallon community tank with 5 fancy guppies, about 10 ghost shrimp, and 4 mystery snails. I'm wanting to move them up to a larger tank(they're looking crowded.) I have another 5 gallon tank with 2 Cory cats, 2 zebra danios, and two small water frogs, also over stocked. I'm wanting to combine these two tanks into a 30 gallon aquarium. That would mean it would have:

5 fancy guppies
2 Cory cats
2 zebra danios(I would like to get a 3rd one)
10 ghost shrimp
2 small water frogs
4 mystery snails

Is this over stocked? If it isn't, what else could a feasibly add? I would like to make the 30 gallon a planted tank.

I don't think a 30 would be overstocked.
Better conditions with plenty of plants.

If you count everything as 1 inch, you'll have 25
inches of "fish" in the tank and room for about 5 more.

You can easy add another Danio.
You might want to look into a "show" fish as a centerpiece.
Something with cool, or bright colors

Okay. Thanks. Any suggestions on a centerpiece? Or another cool peaceful schooling fish?

I would add to the Cory cats and zebra danios. Zebras like 2 males per female.

Hmm German Blue Ram?

I already have a 30 gallon with cichlids in it. Those suckers are too mean! Lol. Any other suggestions?

Alright. I don't know the sexes of the danios. If I posted pictures do you think you could identify them? I would love to have some more cory cats. They're not a fish I would normally buy, but I acquired them with an aquarium and it turns out I love them! :)

Honey Gourami in either color variety.

I will look into that. I always like to support my lfs, so I hope they have them. How peaceful are they?

They are highly recommended on here as peaceful. Some people even have more than one of them together.

Yes. :) The females are deeper top to bottom. I will see if I can photograph mine.

Awesome! Thanks. I hope these pictures will work.

Sweet. I will certainly keep them in mind! I've never had a gourami before. They're really pretty.

This is a male. Our female died, she was old. I need to replace her...

Are yours young, or full grown?

Gourami will touch their "whisker" fins to the glass if you touch your fingers to it. Cute!

Aw. That's sweet! I may have to get one of those.

The short finned one is full grown. The other is young. Only purchased from my lfs today.

Ok. Then I think you have two males. The new one is very thin though. I think it was underfed so it may be fooling me.

Really? I have 4 in a 75gal planted tank and do t really bother anyone.

I guess that would make my short finned one....a female? Not sure. Lol.

I went looking at other sites to see what centerpiece fish are being suggested.

Gouramis
Kribs
Angelfish
and this thing

Microctenopoma ansorgii

Awesome. Thanks. I think the Microctenopoma ansorgii get a little too big. My tank won't be suited for them because of the amount of smaller fish I will have in there. I've heard angel fish are really aggressive. Are there less aggressive ones that won't hurt my smaller fish? Are the Kribs Cichlids? I have had bad experiences putting other fish with cichlids. Not sure if that's compatible. I love the gouramis and the angel fish. Those I would LOVE! Hadn't thought of doing the angelfish.
