My feeling is mount them close with a wide lens and dim them down. Slowly increase and the bottom will get plenty of light.

My tank 2 months old, and I bought the reefbreeders around the same time. No growth yet, but i think it has to do more with my tank not being mature yet. All colors of my zoas, lps looking good.

The pictures look more pink. My eyes see more blue-ish color.

about 2 months in.

Coral growth - yes and most noticable with my sps. LPS love them. My hammer, frogspawn, galaxia, ect have all now adjusted and are open and colorful.
Algae growth - no. I have significatnly less algae with my LED's than with my T5's
Heat issues - None
Power consumption - I'm saving about $30 a month from this time last year. I'm down 2 kwh's a day compared to last year and pre chirstmas. The only thing i've changed in my house is my lights. My wife is thrilled...lol
Noise - No, fans are silent.

Issues - I "think" the bright light stressed out my dwarf lion and I've had my first real ich outbreak. I didn't loose any fish and it's gone now (for now) but I think the change in light intensity did have an effect on it.

Light sensitive coral aren't thrilled with the new lights. I have a nice green/orange lobo and even on the sand it's fading on the tops of the polyps. My mushrooms hated them so I moved them to a shady area under rock work and they've opened up again. My finger leather is half the size it was with T5s and doesn't seem to want to open up again. All other coral (I have about 30 kinds) are doing fantastic. Its just about finding the right spot for everything...

Still super pleased with these units and highly recomend them...

Beautiful tank love the rock work and all your fish and coral.

Hey Terrance, which optics did you get? 60, 90, or 120? I was thinking about getting 90's but maybe the 120's would be better. Nice tank BTW.

Thanks for helping me out. These full spectrum lights are what I want. They give a closer appearance of 14K up to a 20k or there 'bouts.

I bet there's plenty of spectrum in the straight blue and white lights. Otherwise, how would I be growing and coloring up corals? I disagree that the multi colored ones look anywhere near 20k. They have a pinkish hue to them. None of the Taotronics or similar fixtures look close to 20k.

I have a 92 corner and I'm getting the controllable reef breeder 24' what lense would you go with ? 90 or 120 also with just whites and blues or I want some green and like 2 reds

I want to get the reef breeder 24' controllable light but don't know what optics I want ! Also I want come green and I'm thinking 2 red
