Our local club is at least 90% Africans at every event, rarely is there anything I'm interested in. These things go in stages like any trend, 7-10 years ago it was all new world.

In the club classifieds there is 185 cichlids listed. 100 Malawians. 50 tangs, 5 Victorians. 30 central and South Americans. And of those 30 25 are angels or discus

Well she's banished, came home and she was kicking the crap out a 9-10" F1 Herichthys turquoise which is far more rare that a angry female festae. Here is she is with the cutteri grow outs.

Lol, couldn't find anything smaller than the iPad to take pictures with?! That thing would be toast if I found her beating on a rare fish like the Herichthys turquoise .

I forgot my phone upstairs. His face is scratched, tail fin slightly spilt, has numerous bite marks on his body. It's a good thing he's a tank but he's already eating and besides being a little skittish he's acting just fine.

It's situations like this that make me cringe when people try to put these things with tankmates in small tanks, this flopped miserably in less that 24hrs in a 6ft heavily decorated established tank.

If this happens to a seasoned aquarist/Ichthyologist, imagine the number of new aquarist who end up with disasters. Hukit you have the luxury of your vast resources (experience & tanks) to respond appropriately. But most asking for advice don't. The reason I say this is, I have seen people ask for advice about compatibility issues or stocking advice and then become defensive about going against the advice. They need to realize the answers come from experience. Thanks Huk.

BTW what's wrong with Africans? You all know you love them. Don't hide behind some big ol glass banger. I love em all.
