Here can be a plethora of things that can cause that if she does not look better by tomorrow I would euthanize her best way to do that is to partly freeze some water and dump her in kill her instantly there other method is to freeze her in water but that causes her blood to freeze over time and it is painful

I agree here I wouldn't let her suffer also with small tanks its hard to keep your ph ammonia nitrates and nitrites at a safe level and when over stocked its even harder I upgraded to a 30 so I wasn't doing water changes everyday u rlly need a test kit

Thanks for backing me better it is really hard for OPs to understand that sometimes I fish just will not live and you have to stop the suffering

I don't know if you are a boy or girl but here is what I have to say... You have to convince your parents to let you get the API master test kit it is a must for your fishies especially since you are breeding them. Because you have to test your water weekly for you to have a successful breeding program sometimes even more than weekly I know because I will be starting my breeding program in the next moth or so and, water quality is A MUST with fry

Yes, and I know. If this fish dies, I'll use the pity note on my parents to get one. If not, I'll find another way. And my breeding might have to hold off until the summer. Good luck to you, by the way.

Okay, thanks. I'll keep watching. Hope it doesn't come to that, though. She looks bad now, though. She might die on her own before tomorrow.

I really doubt the water has ammonia In it you should take it to get tested next time. Also if you have males and females in the tank they will breed like crazy

Yes, I know, but all have gotten eaten so far. I have one male, and 5 females including this one.

If they don't get u a test kit I wouldn't breed at all maybe for the Heath or the fish move the male to another tank

Yeah. Like I said, breeding will probably wait until summer.

Wish I could order this but with shipping a tax it's just as much at my lps

It musp
T be cheap at your lfs then. Your total would probably come out to $25 at ghe most I would imagine.

And add 18 on that cause I'm in Canada plus the tax it's 39.99 at my lfs and I get it rite away

Ahhhh... that makes sense. Good luck. I have a German blue ram doing the smae thing.

Clearing things up:

I have a master test kit picked out on amazon. After school, I will bug my dad to get me one. It is 18$ or so on amazon last time I checked. I will euthanize the fish tomorrow probably, and am holding off on breeding until next summer.

One more question: will this disease spread?
