They have this tank for cheap, but does it look like its missing upper, lower frames and center support? I haven't seen it in person, just these pics.

I had to order a new top for my 125 it wa the hugest pain in the arse ever took several months to get nobody and I mean nobody had it in stock,
If the tank is under a 55 you can go without the upper support and it looks pretty sharp too!

Rimless tanks longer than 30" with no center brace scare me. Is it glass?

It's a 100 gallon tank. They just moved into the house and it was sitting in the back yard so they have no history on it. So it does need frames and support? It's a 49Lx16Wx32H tank.

Looks like glass but just asked them anyways. Waiting on reply.

That sounds like a custom tank with those dimentions. Im not sure

It's really tall that creates a lot of pressure I'd say if it isn't like 2 inch thick glass it's going to need top and bottom frames, with the top having a center bar support

That's what I wasn't hoping for. I really like the size, it has the same foot print as mine now just twice as high so I can use it on my custom stand.
Thanks for the input, I'll just go check it tomorrow and see how it looks.

I would have them fill it there and put a tape mesure across the top while its filling to see how much the glass bows. and ofcourse to see if it holds water.

My tank came top trim less and I made braces with a 2x4.

Look at the top, with those my tank stays perfectly straight. Without them the glass bows maybe 3" lol

I have not had a chance to go see it yet. Here is another picture that he sent me that shows the thickness a little better. I have no problem making frames for it. I looked around already and it seems that no one makes frames for that size.

That tank has awful dimensions. It would be a hassle to clean and isn't versatile as far as stocking options goes. I'd give it a miss if it were me- especially with it not having a centre brace :(

It's a show tank... It's made to look spectacular with a nice selection of fish
