Trouble With Green Star Polyp

I'd look into the flow around the Gsp. I've had star polyps only open up under a chaotic flow and they can be pretty specific with what flow they are under.

my gsp did pretty pourly under T5's and then went INSANE under my LED's. If any coral in my tank has loved the intese light it's my gsps....

Why I don't think it is a lighting issue Greg. I'd try higher flow first. Then less flow.

Agreed, I wouldn't move them, try adding a rock by it to restrict flow.

So, I did a 5 gallon water change of about 30 total gallons. Hope to see improvement tomorrow...

Hmm, I'd just leave it be for the next couple of days and see if it comes back out. IMO it is pretty indestructible.

+1 sometimes corals may stay in a day or 2. I wouldn't worry to much

Still no good. Now a mushroom is looking bad. It's just a frag, so only one mushroom. It's usually about the size of a half dollar. Right now, it's about the size of a BB.

Should have my RedSea reef test kit delivered today. I will test and post for further advice. Thanks so much for the help so far.

I need to figure out a way to post pics - I've met my quota on here, it appears.

I buy my water from the LFS. I don't know what salt they use, but they "say" it's one of the best. It's the same thing they use for all their tanks in the store, too.

Just a quick thought - what temp do you guys generally keep your tanks? Mine is at about 74 or 75 F.

If your going to raise the temp do it slowly, over a day or so.

I think I'll leave the temp alone. I don't want to change a lot of things all at once. If I do that, and something works, I won't know what worked

Checked my numbers with the new kit. Man, I hope I get faster at that process!

Kh: 3.5/9.8
Ca: 500

Began the daily dosing regimen of 10mL of mg and kh. It says my mg should be 1310 for soft corals and my kh should be 12.1/4.3. Ca is fine. Does that sound about right?
