He looks awesome. Is that the one that will sift the sand. I had one that picked up sand and would sift the sand.

Yea, he does that often. Lays in it like a bed at night sometimes. Lol. Silly clowns!

Beautiful video. The tank looks awesome. Looks like the clowns are hosting with the coral. Who is your video editor?

Aww man, so sorry to hear that! Did he have any food?

So I first noticed this spot on my acan starting to loose a little tissue in the middle of it a few days ago. It looks to be getting bigger and loosing more flesh exposing the skeleton. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Could it be brown jelly maybe? I did notice what looked to be kind of a brownish substance there. What would have caused It? I know if it is brown jelly, I will need to cut away what is good in order to save it. Any help appreciated, I kinda liked this one. :ermm:

It sucks on where it started if it were on a end you could simply cut it off but the way it is looks like you need to make 2 cuts to remove the bad section
at-least you can frag the smaller piece
after you remove the bad section I would do a dip to get what ever it was that killed off that section so it don't continue
shame though that was a sweet acan keep us updated on how it recovers

Thanks for the replies guys. Bribo, I don't see how it could have got stung unless it was during the transition. Only other close coral is another acan. I did remove the acan and give it a good dip and got the gunk out. I'm gonna see if that does it, if not I will be cutting it up. In other news I got rid of my spectacular harlequin shrimp today. Out of starfish and asterinas! She's been cleaning out the sump during the transition and did a remarkable job. I brought her to my friends house where he has a harlequin tank already to go for her. He's gonna try to give her a mate. In return I picked out a ORA purple polyp birds nest and a pretty cool little halloween hermit. I'll post some photos tomorrow. I kinda moved some top pieces of rock around as well. I am planning to get me another starfish as well. Maybe a mosaic or Linkia, not sure yet.

Here are some photos I took last night of the new additions as soon as they where put into the tank. I know the birdsnest is one of those kinda pesty fast growers, but I have always wanted one. He had the ORA green polyp and ORA purple polyp to choose from. I also gotta try to find some cone shells for the hallowed hermit. Apparently thats the only shells they accept and they get kinda big for a reef hermit. The colors are phenomenal though. If he gets too big he can be the new king of the fuge. I'll try to get better photos of everything soon, got a busy day today.

Looks like the birds nest and crab settled in nicely. Now I just gotta wait for this RBRA to move to a moveable rock so I can put him kinda where I want. I have some rocks set up around him that he should move onto tonight hopefully.

That is a crazy looking crab, how big do they get? And what kind of shell is that?

Yea he's pretty darn cool. From what I have read they get around 2". It is a 'cone shell'. That's what I was told that they will need too. I think they need a shell with a long slit opening versus a round opening.
