Dynamic duo!
Can we get an updated FTS of this?
Your apistos look awesome! Are you trying to get them to spawn? Can't be much harder than GBR right?

If they spawn it's cool, I like keeping pairs for the behavior. They are far easier to spawn ime, atleast panduro and cacs.. they are excellent parents! Fts, yanked the myrio, it was catching all the floating plants..

2-3 times as large. Is there anything I can do? I really like the goldfish, and I'd hate to give them up, but I would like some more fish.

Dude... don't mess with me.. guy was telling me how yellow she gets and everything haha..

They look like a nice pair B!
Male on right female on left!
My apistos bred as easily as my rams but I had almost as hard a time with raising them.
Sold off almost all of my pistos but 4 and they all turned male(NO JOKE!).:nono:

Hey bandit! Well lfs sold me a male as a female last time. Guess it can be a little tough with the red neck as both sex carry the red?? Anyways male tolerated other male until he didnt. Make would be big dude on the left and female is on the right. I'm no expert but I think she's a she. Has the yellow and body shape going.. size as well. If I were to assume her at a year of age than he'd be severely stunted and most likely worse off than she looks after only a day in the tank:p IT'S A GIRL!!

My bad on left and right (still learning):banghead:!
She is probably only in the 6 month range give or take IMO.
Which one is for your cat?

Dudeee.... cat gets none of these.. unless it jumps.. fair game after they've left the safety of the 20 long.. the filter cut outs are the only way out..

I'm going to have to say that watching these 2 together is by far the best companionship I've seen with any fish, apistos mainly. I was watching them this morning while my coffee was brewing, fed them some sera pellets and they got all happy. Males colors are ridiculous.. I'll have to get a vid soon.

Ive got a new ten gallon going up soon and I'm going to keep it low or medium tech and I'm trying to figure out what I want in it. Im torn between furcata rainbows, corydoras pygmaeus, or maybe a pair of Apistos. Im wondering if the ten would be tight accommodations for a pair of one of the smaller species like Borellii or something. By the way the tank looks awesome and your Apistos look great as well. (y)

Borellii would be fine in a 10. I have a pair in a 5.5 for breeding and there are no issues, they are the most laid back apisto that I've ever seen. Just don't get sp. Opal they can be a bit fiesty.

Ok, Thats awesome to hear! A new pair of Apistos are definitely #1 on my list as I love my pair of CACs in my 55 gallon! Are there any other species you could recommend for a ten gallon as the only fish in there? Ive had my eye on some Apistogramma Sp. Inca 50s as well. :D Brookster what do you have in here again? A. Macmasteri right?

Yah macs, i wouldn't put them in a 10. The male is a little beast.
