Thanks for the info! I don't usually over-feed, but my fish's appetites were poor, so I had been putting in shrip pellets & algae tabs in hopes to entice them. I did 3 PWC w gravel cleaning in the past week for the parasite RX, so I should be all set now. Everyone seems much better today...

I forgot to mention that when I noticed the problem, there were tons of tiny white worms on top of the plastic baby hide-out seaweed. Obviously, I took out the seaweed & sterilized it. I haven't put it back yet. Maybe I should to see if the stuff is still there?

The subject was "bottom feeder", which was my question, so I thought it was appropriate to join this forum. My apologies for being out of line. I AM new, so didn't realize there was an incorrect way to tap the brains of more experienced fish owners.

GOT IT. Is there any single small (1 to 1 1/2 inches) bottom feeder that would be appropriate if I need one?

The big question--do I need a bottom feeder? If so, is there any single fish that you could recommend?
