Wow! 6 watts per gallon? I thought 3 wpg is about normal, or max.. What is the maximum wattage that can be used without algae outbreaks?

I also had cloudy water, and nothing would get rid of it until I bought the Vortex Diatom filter. A UV Sterilizer will work too.
