Personally, I wouldn't really add much more. Your tank sounds to be perfectly stocked with the white clouds and cory cats. Plus, white clouds tend to prefer cold water and bettas are strict tropicals so I wouldn't mix the two. Just my thoughts on it :)

I have to second the suggestion on seachem prime, it's an absolute miracle substance! Okay so not quite a miracle substance, but you get the gist. I've always used prime and have nothing but good things to say about it

My recommendation would be online. Walmart doesn't treat fish properly and purchasing from there supports the continuation of the cruel treatment. Plus by buying online you support hard working breeders who actually love and care for the welfare of bettas :) good luck with your tank and show off...

I agree with what has been said above, it definitely is highly oxygenated! I wouldn't worry about it, in fact I'd worry about it being TOO turbulent before it being not enough!

Just about any natural and sterilized sand will work in your aquarium. I also know that this sand is occasionally used by aquarists and works well for them, but can be a bit coarse. All in all whatever works best for your tank is what you should go with!

If he shows no other symptoms and your parameters are fine, I wouldn't worry over it. Fish change colorations or develop new over time, it's a perfectly normal occurrence :)
