    Dogs

Ahhhh... The plight of rare dog owners. lol. It doesnt bother me ad much as it did when i got my first dogo 7yrs ago. Now when I notice people looking hard...i just smile & tell them he's not the breed I'm betting theyre thinking. Every once in awhile i get an obnoxious one who will insist hes...

    Sea Salt Recommendation

I use instant ocean without problems. But you will need salt since youre moving a tank. It will most likely go thru a sm cycle (i bought & moved a 120gal complete setup-didnt cycle drastically like a new set up does, but it did do a small cycle for a couple weeks). And that means water changes...

Help!!..please..i need advice for my corals

Sounds like your on the right track. Might be that one of the corals you returned started some chemical warfare (slimy corals are not good or happy corals). And of course when something goes wrong- it can take as little as 5min to go bad, but takes days/weeks to completely fix. A sm amount of...

    Need advice

Mandarins need to be in a well established tank or they dont do well. They eat live copeopods living in the sand & on the rock. You still have lots to choose from, just make sure its something that remains small (fire gobies, yellow watchmab goby, mabe a dwarf angel, wrasse) you can even add a...

    Bad Anenome

Kinda blurry, but they look like aptasia. I've not used aptasia x- I have aptasia control by blue life. Works well for me. Make sure and shut down pumps and water flow so you dont accidently get it on the wrong thing. For the ones that were to deep for me to reach or in impossible spots... I...

Any way to move tank from one stand to another?

Yep, just use a couple of rubbermaid containers to temp move stuff into then move 55 to new stand and put it all back in. Just once you start, you cant stop till your done so make sure you have a few hours of free time to do it in. Good luck! ***it really isnt hard....just time consuming!

    Chili Coral

Yep, non-photosynthetic so you need to target feed it. Also likes medium to strong currents. Cant remember light requirements.... Have it in one of my books, but that book is apparently in hiding at this moment. Yours looks great!

    Worm?

Was looking in my marine invertebrates book and didnt find much that was blue & wormy looking. Some of the nudibranches are blue colored. Also saw pic f cirolanids (aka fish lice) but they looked more like mini blue shrimp/lobsters than a worm. Maybe a very sm sea slug, sea hare or sea cucumber...

    Debating sw

Live rock can also provide places for copeopods to live (only thing certain fish eat-mandarin dragonets) and good algae to grow which can be grazed on by herbivores (tangs). Saltwater aquariums for dummies is about $20 @ Barnes & Noble. Has great info on the different systems and is really easy...

    Debating sw

You really need to have sand & rock when you start. Adding later causes tank to cycle again. The sand & rock is where the beneficial bacteria live (they eat the waste in your water). A great beginner book i bought was saltwater tanks for dummies. Fish only tanks are easier....but still not...

    Bta

With a refractometer... Make sure you calibrated it ( i recheck mine every couple months). Calibrate it with your rodi water. When checking salinity should read at 1.025. To bring it down over the next few days.....trade out some of your salt water for rodi. Dont bring it down all at once...can...
