    Out of control Colt Coral!

so I bought a relatively small piece of Colt coral last year and within the past 12 months the thing has pretty much taken over the entire left side of my tank. It's HUGE! Can you frag a Colt coral? If so do you just cut it? If not I my have to take it back to my lfs for credit.

    Need Reef Safe Fishy Ideas

I thought it was strange that my Wellso got him. Had both Chromis for over a year and both seemed very healthy, no signs of weakness... I think it was wrong place at the wrong time . By "reef safe" I mean no chance at nibbling on anything especially my Zoo's. Made the mistake once of adding...

    Need Reef Safe Fishy Ideas

I really like Anthias but I fear 2 problems. First isn't it best to keep 3 Anthias in a tank? I feel like I am at my limit by adding 2 more fish to my tank. Second don't they need to be fed multiple times a day? I only feed every other day to keep nitrates down.

    90 gallon lighting question...

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the WPG ratio took into consideration Actinics or just the 10,000 K bulbs.

    90 gallon lighting question...

Currently on my 90 gallon I have 5 54 watt 460nm Actinic T5 bulbs and 3 54 watt 10,000k T5 bulbs. I really like the look of the tank when I switch to 6 Actinics and 2 10,000 K bulbs. If I make this switch is this enough lighting for my tank. I have numerous soft corals, zoo's, leathers etc...

    Replacing T5 Bulbs

Typically how long do the 54 watt T5 bulbs last? I have had mine for 13 months now. Should they be replaced? They are on 9 hours a day.

    Aqua C Remora Pro

alright so after 5 weeks of an insane amount of micro-bubbles I finally returned the skimmer and had another Remora sent out. I set the new one up and ironically not one bubble pours into the tank :). I gotta beleive the first one was defective. Anyway completley happy with this skimmer!

Tank has been up and running for almost 2 years. I did have a l"ow end" skimmer on prior however 15 gallon water changes are done weekly. Ironically the "low end" skimmer didn't produce any micro-bubbles.

Thank you for the offer but I have 100+ lbs of liverock and I would need to aquascape the entire tank again if i want to fit the box in.

what size tank do you have? I have a 90 gallon and I think the size of this thing will crowd the tank :-?

yup still bubbles. Has anyone ever used the pre skimmer/bubble trap? Is it worth it? Seems rather bulky.

Thanks for all your suggestions. It just seems that no matter what the height of the collection cup (high, low, in between) a ton of bubbles continue to pour into the tank. I have found the optimum height of the cup where I get a dark brown skimmate but still get a ton of bubbles. After...

Right now the collection cup is set really high and it's not producing much skimmate. I originally had it set very low and it was producing a very watery skimmate.
