    My Paludarium Build (timeline)

I haven't made a video yet of the entire build, because I'm still working on the aquarium portion. I'm hoping to finish soon. Then I will make a proper video. I did take a picture of one of my Red Eyed Tree Frogs. This is one of the females.

I've embedded the plants in the canopy of the paludarium. I'm now working on the plants and fish for the aquascape. I pick up the mating pair of Gold Dusted Day Geckos tomorrow. The tree frogs are anxious to see their new home. They'll have to wait just a few more days. Here is a video...

Okay, latest update. I started cycling the water to get a good look at the water flow. The paludarium is coming along well. I also set up the ultrasonic humidifiers. There are two stationed on the back wall. I failed to mention in the video that two of the holes in the PVC drip bar are feeding...

    My Paludarium Build (timeline)

So I went on a scuba diving trip and I'm finally getting back to the project. This is the beginning of the hardscape in the bottom of the aquarium portion of the build. As you can see from the picture, the stone is pieced together similarly to the stone wall and waterfall in the paludarium...

I've almost finished the paludarium portion of the tank build. I just need to do some minor detailing, so I thought I would update the thread. The aquarium portion is just breaking ground. Once I have it near completion, I will update everyone again. Here is a video of the paludarium....

    My Paludarium Build (timeline)

The rock wall partition has been pieced together much like a puzzle. The stone pieces have been bonded together with an epoxy putty. The many small crevices in the rock structure, will allow water from the PVC drip bar along the back wall, to pass through and not overflow the land fill. As you...

So here is the driftwood.... I bought one large piece that will act as the center piece. It has texture and cavities similar to the stone. I will embed epiphytes, bromeliads and moss on the branches. The pieces of driftwood in the bag will be woven in a thin layer across the rock panels to...

So I rinsed all the stone. it took hours to flush out all the impacted sediment in the porous cavities. The texture and color is what attracted me to the stone. The downside is that it took far more time to prepare.

I set up a vivarium as a quarantine tank to stage future additions to the paludarium. I modified a humidifier to work with the vivarium. I also added an automatic misting system (Zoo Med's Reptirain). The lights are LED and support the plant growth. It also has a UVB T5 (Zoo Med's Reptisun)...

Yep I used ozone with the protein skimmer for my reef as well. If I could have multiple tanks I would also choose a Chinese Water Dragon. They are very active and entertaining. Since this one will be hosting Red Eyed Tree Frogs, a CWD would be out of the question.

I've ordered all the panels, driftwood and rock this week. As I gradually piece it all together, I will brief this thread. I'm guessing several weekends of work. The bulk of the work should be finished in 3 weeks time. There will be tweaking of minor details beyond that.
