    Jack Dempsey Rescue. Advice please.

You can try keeping the lights off or low to keep stress down as well.

    Help breeding

I am sure of the regular and bgjd being female and also of the 2 males. My smaller ebjd may be a female. My regular male and female are over 3 yrs old, my bgjd spawned with another male before I got her and my ebjds are a year old. My parameters are 0, 0, 40 at 80 degrees.

    What would you want?

What are some rare cichlids you would like to see in your tank?

    Help breeding

I have recently been trying to breed ebjds. I have 1 male ebjd, 1 regular male, 1 female ebjd, 1 bgjd, and one regular. All are at least 4in in size. I have been rotating them around in tanks, changing the scape, pairs, dithers, tank size, pretty much everything I can think of and just can not...

    Am I overstocked?

The 1" per gallon rule seldom applies unless with large quantities of large fish. If the tank is adequately filtered, you shouldn't have any problem adding quite a few fish. I am partial to electric blue jack dempseys because they are a beautiful fish. It mainly depends on what you like to see...

    Transporting Fish

I recently transported a 6in ebjd and 4in bgjd over 150 miles in a large tub full of tank water. I stopped 2 times and used a cup to take water out and dump it back in to keep oxygen in the water. They made the trip safely and went into their tank the next day with no problems.

    Support Mom & Pops

I don't think this could have been said any better. I drive an hr one way just to get to mine. While there are 7 lfs between my house and work I'd much rather go to a place that I know cares about the fish and customers. If there is a fish he doesn't have, he orders it for me and occasionally at...

Blue Crayfish with Zig Zag Eel.

I've noticed mine will try to eat any fish they can get a hold of. I will occasionally put 4 week old convict fry in with them to catch as a way to keep them occupied. They never seem to be full enough not to chase them.

Blue Crayfish with Zig Zag Eel.

That is definitely too small for him. I have mine in a 65 with a few African cichlids. They are constantly out swimming.

    Driftwood

You also have to think about the fact that almost all fish youre going to get will be tank raised. They are not use to high ph of lakes and therefore will not be bothered as much by a slightly lower ph.

    Help sexing.

Thank you. She is doing great. She is in a 75g tank by herself right now. She loves to sit at the corner of the tank and just watch me while in doing anything in the other tanks. She told me to tell you hi.

    Unhinged

That's how I have the top on one of my 75g tanks.

Just take the plastic all the way off and don't use it. You'll have 2 separate pieces of glass.

Can anyone tell whether they are male or female?

    Help sexing.

I met him through another guy I buy fish from and he knew I am trying to get separate gene pools to raise a stronger ebjd. He was tearing down his tank and selling everything to start saltwater so he sold them to me cheap to help me and get rid of them.
