- I am new at thih only been dealing with fish other than goldfish a couple months now. I have 3 freshwater tanks, 5 gallon glofish tank 3 glofish it has the filter that came with the kit, it's a whisper and a air pump. 20 gallon tank 3 goldfish whisper filter and air pump. 20 gallon tank with 1 Bala shark and one rainbow shark. When I bought the fish from Walmart the guy told me they could be in the same tank and that 20 gal was big enough this tank also has a whisper filter and air pump. I later learned that was not the case. Im currently looking for a bigger tank for my Bala shark and then buying another Bala shark because when I googled all the info it said he is a schooling fish and does better with 2 or more. And my rainbow shark shouldn't be placed with other sharks. The Walmart guy did not tell me any of the right info. I will never buy fish from there again. I will start going to a aquarium Store.
