    RO/Di Flow problem

Flow Rates Dow RO membranes are rated at 40 PSI, there are lesser membranes on the market that rate their flows at much higher pressures. That could be why you are getting such a low flow rate. Do you know your pressure? I do not know of a membrane that produces 125 in a single membrane at a...

    How to flush RO/DI System

Flush & Flush kits The flow restricter is located some where in the waste line, in our units it is where the waste line meets the membranes housing. If you bypass the flow restricter the water will take the path of least resistance and "flush" the surface of the membrane. If you can view...

    RO/DI Recommendation

ASO We use a hydraulic Auto-shut-off. We do find over 60PSI they tend to vibrate. I mean really vibrate 8O , so if you have HIGH water pressure consider a Liquid level Controller. You be happier. You can always use a liquid level controller but they do cost more.

    Replacing RO membranes

Ammonia never was in tap water (unless there was a contamination problem). It is now added! Sounds crazy, but it is used to stabilize chlorine. Chlorine can form THM's without it.

    Replacing RO membranes

MarkW19, The TDS meter will not tell you the chlorine or chloramines levels. You can get a chlorine test kit at Walmart CHEAP. Ammonia can be tested to let you know if chloramine is present. Test for ammonia after you pass the tap water through the carbon. Also consider ammonia reducing...

Will this RO unit be good?

OK Skip_16157, May I suggest, a 4 stage Barracuda with a drinking water kit. We can provide enough tube so your DI can extend to where you need it to be. Actually there are a number of ways to handle your situation. Can you give me a call so I can get details. Like, if you only need 2...

Truth About R/O Water or Pure Water

Timbo, I am wondering where do they say 99% and do you know (by any chance) what they consider an impurity? Like chloramine is not removed by the PUR, maybe the chlorine componet, but not the ammonia. Do they have a website? Marianne www.aquafx.net
