- I have one 20 gal. tall community tank open since Christmas 2010. Surviving original to start of tank include: 3 clown loaches; 1 otisynclis; 1 candy stripe plecostomus. Added since and thriving: 4 zebra danios; 3 rummy-nose tetra; 2 cory-dory's; 1 medium spotted plecostomus; one dwarf African frog and a pair of mating kribensis. The fishies are happy and the tank healthy!
Tank #2 is a 5 gallon tank that at first was my hospital tank but at the moment is home to Nigel, my Auratus African Cichlid. I saved him from a massacre, felt sorry for his lonliness until realizing he's a mean, mean fish. He needs to stay alone or mate him with a badd-*** female to mate with. Looking to find a new home for him.
Finally, I have a 20 gal. long tank open since September 2012 that Nigel was in before moving him to the 5 gallon. This tank now holds 4 Firemouth cichlids and 2 convicts and 5 Tiger Barbs....also keeping them company are 2 catfish and a snail.
