Never mind, miss read something and thought OP was using easybalance plus has a water conditioner. The tank being on a table with unsupported corners concerns me though.

If you have any decaying plant matter then yes that can add ammonia to the tank

It can be deadly if its high enough though a good water conditioner like prime will remove any heavy metals in your water though and make it safe , as for other things I'm not sure, only thing that comes to mind is ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates, as well as copper if plan to ever keep inverts
