anyone care to comment on these cannister filters? are they better than an aquaclear 70?

thanks all. seems like its a toss up. in hawaii, replacement parts are too expensive. i was looking for another wheel because the used filter that i got was missing both. one place wanted $18 bucks apiece. so i figured i may as well buy another new filter. those who have aquaclear...

what filters do you recommend? bio wheel or aqua clear? i have a 46gal tank. one store swears by bio wheel and another says aqua clear. i heard that aqua clear in the long run is cheaper to maintain with the sponges etc vs replacing cartridges on a bio wheel. what say you?

starting with a 46 gal bowfront glass tank. want to create planted tank and fish (of course...haven't decided). what type of lighting do you recommend? what brands? etc. got some idea from the local pet shops...but would like to hear from the crowd. mahalo from hawaii.

just picked up a used 46 gal bow front glass tank(marineland). has some mineral deposits that i'd like to remove before i set up the tank. calling out to the experts here. how do i remove the deposits from the glass tank and black framing??? mahalo from hawaii.
