Thanks to both of you. This will be my first sw tank and I do not want to get rippped off by my lfs and by things that I won't need for a reef set-up.

I'm trying to find a predrilled aquarium without all of the extra stuff that some companies force on you that is not needed for a reef tank set-up. Does anyone know of any online sites that sell acrylic tanks like this?

I want to start a reef tank and I would like to know is it better to buy a reef-ready tank that comes with bio media, pumps, wet/dry filters, and plumb pre-filter or buy one without and buy the equipment that I want and need to have a successful reef tank.

Would it be beneficial to add the live sand before,after, or with the uncured rock to help out with the cycling of the tank and the curing of the rock?

Is putting uncured liverock in a new tank the best way to cycle the tank before livestock is added?
