    Anemone identification

Ok cool, I'll try find some more info on condy then. That's what the guy said it was, I was wondering why I didn't know the name as well!

    Anemone identification

Hey there. I got a second anemone yesterday and wanted to confirm what exactly it is. The right is a quadricolor, the left is (supposedly) a red foot anemone. Can anyone please help confirm that or tell me what it is? Cheers

Do i have to feed my corals?

What lighting do you have? If it is strong enough and in the right spectrum you won't have to feed them.

My mangrove is getting soft, dying?

Well I had it in substrate but it wasn't happy so I built a contraption to suspend it with the roots out in the open. I know plants shouldn't have their roots exposed to light but My reasoning was an article that described how to get a mangrove to grow 'stilt roots', the kind you see in a tidal...

My mangrove is getting soft, dying?

Hey all. I have a 30g reef with a 15g display refugium. The way it is setup the red mangrove seed will receive 1-2 hours of direct natural sunlight a day and as much daylight as the day lasts. It sits under a 4500K refugium light, about 8,5 hours every day. I got it about 5-6 weeks ago and...

    Help ID'ing Algae

Well you have to keep something in your Tank to keep the beneficial bacteria alive. If you have it empty for month you don't have an ammonia source which means a fresh cycle once you introduce the first fish. All values 0 is good but in my opinion near impossible. Either you have a healthy...

    name of fish

If you want to keep them long term you'd want a tank 30-50 gallons. They are hardy fish and the fact that they survived proves that, they still need more than 2.5 gallons to be happy though

    id for anemone

If you live near the ocean and your water is not polluted I would just collect some to do water changes. Real ocean water has all the nutrients and critters you would ever need! Just make sure you collect far of any industry/ off shore

    Help ID'ing Algae

On the rock it looks like a mix of diatoms, hair algae and cyano. How are our water parameters? I'd guess your cycle is finished? If so, just keep the bioload light, don't put too many corals in and of so only softies. The algae will disappear by itself as long as you keep doing your water...

29 gal reef experience so far

Sorry mate I'm from Austria so not familiar with that product! Garlic helps to boost the immune system of fish, but it probably won't increase the taste to get a starving angel eating

    Biocube 29gal on CL

And so much work.... You can't just run a bead over the area of the leak. You have to completely take the silicone out with razor blades, clean everything, rinse and repeat a couple of times. The re-silicone it and hope you have done it right. First time around is a real mess ;)
