    Sand grain size?

So I ended up getting one 30lb bag of the fine sugar gain sized sand for the bottom layer, and 3 @ 40lb bags of the "Seaflor Special" to put on top. This should give me a little extra for my refugium.

Check these out.... or anyother unit here. Much better with individual parabolic reflectors. The Tek lights are suppose to be good. http://www.reefgeek.com/products/categories/lighting/104193.html

Wow.... that's some of the best sps corals I've seen! Changes bulbs every 6-8 months, if your not quite as crazy about sps as he is.... you can get 18 months out of T5's even when overdriven.... or so I've read.

Also bulb life is better than all the rest..... cost per bulb is reasonable too.

I'm new to salt water, but I am an educated person and have been doing some research. Looks like T5's will blow away power compacts. Better PAR and lower power consumption. Overdriven with icecap ends and ballasts and they compete with halides, given they have the correct individual reflectors.

    CARIBSEA HONEYCOMB BASE ROCK

Actually, the doctors Foster and Smith retail store is just over an hour away, but they charge 5.99 a pound for live rock and I have a 150g tank to fill. I'm thinking about maybe 100-150 pounds of base rock with 50-100 pounds of live rock on top. I'll probably order base rock first, start...

    CARIBSEA HONEYCOMB BASE ROCK

That price doesn't include shipping. But here you can get 50 pounds with shipping for 119. http://www.marinecenter.com/rocks/liverock/fijibaserock/ The other site would probably still be 20 or 25 dollars cheeper with shipping. Any other places you guy recommend for base rock?

    CARIBSEA HONEYCOMB BASE ROCK

Just wondering if anyone has bought this base rock? It seems significantly cheeper than most other stuff out there. Says it's calcium carbonate so it should be ok right? http://www.aquariumsnstuff.com/product_info.php?cPath=38_59&products_id=244&osCsid=e737f431b8d388c16cc6a986d137b827
