    another question... I will be using the old water in my 55g to put in the new tank, and of course I wil have to add more. But will the 50 or so gallons be enough, as not so don't need to cycle any extra. Or do I need to cycle some more water along with the already 50 cycled gallons?

    live sand from beach?

    I suppose it would be the same story with rock found at the beach, correct? Is there any way I can just let the rock dry out, clean it very well, and use it as base rock? thanks
