It looks to me like he's being lazy and only doing a half-flare :P Sometimes bettas with heavy fins won't flare all the way due to the weight of them.

Awwe, if only I wasnt a 15 year old girl with no tools/experience, I would make one, but I cant D: I would add plants eventually yes, but low-light ones, so I dont need fancy lighting or anything.

I love your tank :D However, cories are very social little critters and require buddies, so it would be great if you could add two more to the tank to make him happy :D

Thank you for the tip ^^ I just wasnt sure if it was some crappy stand because it was pretty cheap. My 14g is currently on my solid wood nightstand, so we got the stand because the nightstand is pretty low and I want it back :P My confidence in the stand is back :)

How good is this stand? I bought it, but havent been able to open the package and assemble it yet... for anyone who has it, do you have pictures? I've got the one for 10/20 gallons that I'm gonna use for my 14 gallon. Any reviews on it would be super helpful :D

Yeah, I try to keep my tank at LEAST 78F, so no worries there then ^^

Maybe until they get better, add some more hiding places? It might speed up their relaxing a bit ^^

Ahh, I see. Well I wont be getting the new fish anytime soon so that'll give me time to get sand substrate and more hiding places for the cories and rummynoses'. I'll be able to get 6 rummies instead of 5 now because I sadly lost a neon today :/
