Recently started a little 2 gallon freshwater tank. The neon tetras that I have had in there for a week have little salt looking spots on them. They appear healthy. They have an appetite. Is ich a common freshwater ailment, and if so, how can I treat it.

All levels are good. Just got back from my LFS and they checked all levels as well. All of my inverts are alive and well. I have a peppermint shrimp, two hermits and several snails that are all good. The anemone does not appear to be dead. He is still inflated.

My blenny needs a friend! I am going to the store today to to get a friend for my tailspot blenny. Any suggestions? something non-aggressive as my blenny is rather shy. I have corals too so reef safe is a must. Thanks!

Does it look like this? If so I believe you have a reticulate brittle star. We have about 4 of them that hitchhiked. I think they are neat.
