Your tank may look clean...and you may have been lucky in the past....but you really should test your water quality.High levels of the previous list are fatal for fish.I assume your tap water Ph is ok? Are you treating the tap water to remove chlorine? Has the tank fully cycled?
Yeah...I have those and they survived ok....I guess different plants react differently to the hundreds of meds out there.
Didn't want to med at all....but was left with little choice ...glad I did though.
Are you or have you been testing the water for ammonia... nitrate... nitrite...and PH ? Its vital this is done regularly as this can determine whats going on in there and what actions to take....ie....how much of the water to change.
I test weekly...I also change around 20% each week....hope...
I have fairly recently set up a new tank and had the ICH twice...I used the temp method...didn't work for me. So I tried a three prong attack...temp increase for a week...gradually though...aquarium salt and medication...I used the non dying med...para guard by seachem.Worked a treat...fish were...
9 fish in a 10 gallon tank is too many....isn't general rule of thumb one inch of fish per gallon? Though I know there is no hard and fast rule...just thought that smaller fish would be ok?
Changing it to a fluval nano...much better filter.
I only want one to run one filter but they are not interchangeable though I could put some if the old filter in the new. Guess i should run them for a month together then to be safe...

I have a 10 gallon planted tank that is fully cycled but I am unhappy with the old filter in it (its a second hand tank and i inherited the filter)so I have placed a new fluval filter with a spray bar in it.

One of my three red phantoms is extremely bloated...so much so that his eyes are protruding out too. The tank is 10 gallon...with 9 other fish....tetras and phantoms...all are well.
Tank is fully cycled ....water tested this morning and is near perfect with a PH of 7.2.
