I hope you plan on getting the mandarin well down the road? They are very difficult to keep and need lots of pods to eat (which will not be plentiful in a new tank). I agree with some snails and hermits too.

Just in case someone reads this...I spoke to another rep at PetSolutions who was very helpful and sent a replacement and prepaid label. I apparently spoke with their very unpleasant overflow call center when I called. PS remains excellent! :)

I just got a Via Aqua Titanium heater over the weekend and it's showing my tank is 84 degrees - my glass thermometer says 77 degrees. I really don't think there is any way my tank is 84 degrees. Does anyone else have one of these that has a big difference? Is a 7 degree difference "normal"...

I have an eshopps PSK-100h (hob) protein skimmer and lately a pretty loud water "trickling" noise has been coming from the water return pipe. It was so loud this morning I heard it while in bed and had to go check to make sure it wasn't overflowing. If I stick my thumb in the flow changing pipe...

I've read they can be pretty intolerant of changes but I'd not added anything or done anything differently. I just cleaned it and reprimed it seems to be doing ok so far. Thanks for the help/suggestions! :)

I just got an Eshopps PSK-100H two weeks ago and it's been working wonderfully...until last night. It just starting overflowing and I can't get it to stop. I've changed the amount of flow, nothing blocking the intake, air valve not kinked yet everytime I plug it in, it fills the column within...
