I've found some of the most beautiful bettas at WalMart.

I had 7 serpaes with my betta in a 20 long and they were taken out within a couple days. Way too nippy for my liking.

I agree. I have 8 gold pristella tetras and its so much fun watching them.

Are you guys still talking about the intake part of the hobs or the actual media trays?

Mine have been fine with guppies. I even have a guppy that is bigger than my female bettas and almost as big as my king betta.

I have a male king betta and 4 female bettas in my 29 with 8 gold pristella tetras and 8 fancy guppies and 2 endler cobras. All are peaceful with no casualties. I have also had black skirts and serpaes with my bettas, but they were too nippy for my liking. Oh, ember tetras are also good with bettas.

The few babies I have gotten have all been plakat females. One had longers fins tho, so I'm thinking a veiltail maybe. Where did you get yours? Petco?

I think I have read somewhere on here that someone has put polyfill in that section.

Maybe it's a 37 gallon. Here are dimensions I found online (in inches) 30 1/4 x12 1/2 x22 3/4. Same footprint as a 29 or 20 long.

Is there a benefit of soaking it or a downside of not soaking it?

Frozen works, but don't use canned. Nuke a few in some water in a mug for like 45 seconds and deshell and feed.
