Coraline grows from calcium and light...if you provide enough of both - it will GROW GROW GROW...Every single LR I have in my tank is 75% covered in bright purple coraline, no addatives.

I've read none, if you do water changes on a clockwork schedule. The only chems I currently put in my tank is Iodine/Calcium/Carbonate. My tank is a little over a year old and I've had more propagation than ever. What chems are you guys putting in your tank on a weekly or bi-weekly basis?

I have a 40 gal with a Rio 1200 return, and one maxijet 900. I have plenty of flow in my tank. I may have too much actually...my frags of xenia sometimes blow off of their frag rocks.

Depends on how big your tank is. My water changes are quite simple, because I have a 40 gallon tank. I just siphon out 5 gallons, and replace it with fresh catalina saltwater (after testing of course). I do this once or twice a week, depending... I would suggest powerheads for bigger tanks.

Anyone have experience with this skimmer? I'm wondering if this will fit in a 10 gal sump for my 40 gal tank... The 10 gal sump is approx 10" wide, 12" tall, and about 22 inches long...I THINK. Right now I have a #@$ load of LR in it, but I can crush and put it in my main tank. Any advice...
