I'm using high end LEDs. Kessils. But I am concerned that it's not enough light for ground cover plants. But my riccia is growing.

Im using flourish comprehensive. I have riccia attached to some riccia stones. And I was thinking also glosso or dwarf hair grass to fill in spots. And I like the look of ludwigia for added color in the background.

Im dosing excel everyday. Ferts 2 times a week. It's a 90 gal. 2 feet deep. 2 kessil A150W-AMAZON SUNs, 9 hrs a day. Im trying to get ground carpet plants, but I kinda want to take care of the algae problems first. They seem to attack the low plants especially.

Maybe someone can help. My nitrates are at 5.0. Could this be affecting the diatoms and algae. Are the nitrates too low. I use excel, not co2. Black algae on larger leaves of anubius and sag. Brown algae or diatoms I guess on the sidez and bottom sand level, also on higher leaves of the water...

I have a 90 gal tank. My plants are coming along well. Especially it seems after I inserted flourish tabs into the substrate. I want to get glosso for my foreground carpet plant. Now I'm seeing some issues. From what I can tell diatoms are building up real quick at the bottom and around plants...

I have a lot of plants. So im worried that they'll dig up my glossos or bacopas.

I just got 3 black and yellow assassin snails today to combat my snail problem. One just wrapped itself around the base of a bacopa plant and buried half its shell in the sand. Is this normal? Can anyone help me?

Ok, so I bought 2 dwarf gouramis today. Hopefully that will help. But now I heard they like to eat plants. That's no good. Next I will deal with the snail problems I have. And hopefully my plants will survive.

Ive seen algae before. But nothing like this. This is my first big planted tank. I have quite a bit of little hitchhiker snails inside. But this film actually looks like tiny clear feathers. That's what it looks like to me. I have 2 ottos. Should I leave it for them, or scrape it?

They looked healthy. Algae rounds. Dont seenm to eat them. Started the tank 3 1/2 weeks ago. Got the ottos about a week ago. Ph is 7.6-7.8. Ammonia is 0. Nitrite is 0.25. Nitrate is 5.0.

I have 90 gal. Planted tank. Its coming along fine,But I got six otto cats and three have died. I replaced 2 and now have 4 ottos and I also got 2 fork-tailed rainbows. The ottos just seem to be dying off slowly. Havent even had them for 3 weeks. Ph is fine and everything else seems normal...
