The symptoms are there is a white-ish colour running along the top of him from the head down to mid-body. He is swimming slower than usual and also I'll find him separated from the rest of the Boesemani's. He looks to be opening and closing his mouth, constantly...
Hi,
I currently have a hospital tank running with a mature sponge filter taken from my tank. I am treating unwell juvenile Boesemani Rainbow fish.
At the moment I am only using aquarium salt to see if I see any improvement.
My question is... If I go down the medication route, will the...
What size of tank do you have and are they difficult to keep? I'll have..
5 x Boesemani Rainbow fish (they're on order)
1 x Hoplo Catfish
1 x Bristlenose Plec
And the Elephant Nose if I can have it.
I'd like to have 1 Rainbow Shark as well but Aqadvisor says with that my filtration capacity...
Hi I have a Fluval Roma 200 which is 53g / 200 litres. Will a Elephant Nose fish be suitable? On some sites I've read a 40g is minimum while on others I've read a 50g is minimum.

Parameters when I posted this last night were Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10.
I removed him and put in a hospital tank but I could tell he wasn't gonna make it. Woke up this morning and I was right.

Yeah the Kuhli Loach were ones I considered but they're too small and would end up escaping through my filter intake or something lol, which is a pity.
Hi I was watching this video on drip acclimating your new fish and couldn't help but notice the eel in the guy's tank. Does anyone have any ideas?
The reason I ask is that my 7 year old son would love an eel type fish but I don't know of any I could have...
Here's the video..
Ok so it'll be 10 gallons on Aqadvisor then :)
I'm not looking for another filter I just wanted to know what I could enter into their website for stocking etc
EDIT: Turns out the "Lustar Hydro Sponge Filter 0" is 10 gallons :)
When I bought the sponge filter I was looking for something small so that I could put it in a hospital/quarantine tank if needed.
Measurements are 76mm x 76mm x 187mm
Hi, I have a 53 gallon tank with a Fluval 306 canister as my main filter, but I also have a sponge filter which isn't listed on Aqadvisor.
Would anyone know what the equivalent would be on the site? Pic below....
What is a hob? Sorry but I'm a newbie in fish keeping and still learning.
I've been reading stuff online and it seems baking soda is used to sort the KH as well. 1 teaspoon per 30 gallons they say will raise KH by 2 degrees, and PH by .4 ... and it's instant.
I'll need to do something that's...
