When using the seachem comprehensive and api, is there a certain amount of just follow the bottle?

I ordered the paintball adapter and a better diffuser but I'm still waiting for them to come in. I have a fluval canister filter.

What ferts would you recommend? Like brand cause my lfs don't have much selection. I seen some seachem liquid ones but never seen dry ferts. Can I order them online??
