Well I've got what I believe to be a largemouth right now (he was mixed in with a load of minnows I bought for bullhead food). He's still about an inch long, I've only had him for a week but I'm pretty sure he's a bass.
I'll let you know how that turns out. 8)
I was at the fish store today when I saw a 100 gal tank that I would like. How much filtration would I need for something that big? I think it's going to have a bullhead, largemouth bass, and my common pleco in it, and maybe my peacock eel and/or parrot when they get big enough. Should i use...
Well I'm glad to say that it looks like the dye has worked its way out of my fish's system. He's now a beautiful orange and is doing quite well, except he sleeps tail up and nose down. Which is weird but other than that he seems very healthy. :D
I would post a pic but the fish is about 3/4 - 1 inch right now, and my crappy digital camera doesn't like to focus correctly if you try to take a close-range picture.
He's just in a 10 gallon right now with a few serpae tetras. I've got my eye on a 75 gallon tank for him (when he gets bigger...
Well, that bass disappeared when I put a dwarf frog in the tank. But I just picked up another load of minnows today and it looks like I've got another bass. Gotta put the froggy in my 20 gal before he gets hungry. :?
I picked up some minnows today (bullhead food) and upon closer inspection of the bunch, one appears to have markings similar to some sort of bass. I put him in a small empty betta tank for now so he won't be eaten, and hopefully soon I'll be able to tell if he in fact is a bass or just some...

Just in case there are any bikers on this board.
BUY MY JACKET!!! :D
They're both in a 20. But the bullhead has only been in there for a month and he's doubled in size. My pleco hasn't grown in 3 months. From all the pictures I've looked at he looks exactly like a common one, that can grow really big.
Edit: I've been putting in TetraMin Variety wafers every...
I've had my tank for 3 months now with a common pleco in it and the lil guy doesn't seem to be growing at all. He's in there with a bullhead catfish however, could that be eating all his food? Or pleco's just slow growers?
