    New sps dying

True...true! Just alkalinity is easiest to test for stability purposes. Blastem with flow, keep parameters stable and sufficient light. It's really easy. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    New sps dying

Alk swings is a major contributor as well I find. Temperature, alk, ph swinging drastically can all be factored into stn / rtn. Sometimes they just do because they're sensitive little..... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    New sps dying

While these supplements may be good for and established tank, that has nutrients and stability under control, they can add to excess pollution and certain elements being thrown out of whack. Reef colors and energy should be used and dosed according to the elements tested for those each...

Pairing a Tiger Pistol Shrimp and Randalli Goby

Took mine about 2 months to pair up. Now they think they are architects, re-scaping the tank daily. Those shrimp are pretty impressive builders. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Salt water cycle

I ran a ton of gfo during my last cycle. I figured why not just beat out the phosphate locked in the rocks right away. No livestock to affect. So far, this tank hasn't had any algae issues, (only time was caused due to my excess nutrients). I don't run any phosphate removers currently...

    Red Sea aquarium

I believe the reefer series includes all plumbing and sump. The max, is the aio. Depending on the space you have, the reefer series is promising due to you would not have to worry about building, measuring etc.. For anything except lighting and desired filtration. Expensive, but for those who...

I have had it with this Algae!!!

I'd just run some GAC, (don't know if it will do anything, but won't harm. Treat it like a carbon source overdose. Water changes are alway good. Also- get some good surface aeration going, may have lowered your oxygen. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I have had it with this Algae!!!

Your established rock would've been sufficient to seed the new rock. It will go away as the bacteria burns itself out - so to speak- Bacteria dosing is a strategy used by some sps keepers in a ultra low nutrient system. I don't think it should be messed with freestyle. the lfs is making...

I have had it with this Algae!!!

Slow down with all the rapid changes to start with. You added a bacteria supplement, may I ask why? Looks like bacterial bloom to me. Let it die off by not adding any more supplements. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Aqua scape feedback

Minimalist and bonsai aquascapes can be very nice if done properly. I would google image that, as I can see where you are trying to go. Sometimes less is more if done right. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
