I Ordered a H&S 90-F1000 but received a A10-2000, I cannot figure out how this one is suppose to work. I put it in my sump and hand filled it to the overflow but cannot see how it draws water into it. I did try adding a 9" piece of tubing to the top barb but again I don't see how that will draw...
Thanks, anyplace I can get an AG replacement with the barb?
I ended up buying a complete overflow kit and can return it if I can get a replacement for the 3/4 bulkhead. It needs to be All Glass.
It's tightened down real good, used a bulkhead wrench.
The gasket is on the inside of the overflow.
It is dripping directly into the sump luckily.
It's almost has to be some sand between the gasket and bottom of the tank.
Another question I have checked all around trying to find another...
I had the nut break on the return bulkhead while I was changing out the return line. Had a spare and replaced it, now that one is leaking. This is an active 65 tall reef tank.
Couple of questions, I tried cleaning the sand from the bottom of the overflow but maybe did not have it completely...
Ok sorry for the confusion, this is an active reef tank, the cycle I was refering to is the cycle (circulation) return from the sump. I have a temp fix in place with the original overflow hose. I will let the pvc cure until tomorrow.
Due to me changing out the sump today I had to use PVC to plumb the return.
Question is how long do I have to let the glue cure before I can hook it up and let it cycle. Right now I have the return pump shut off. I did use a hair dryer to blow hot air through it hoping to evaporate the excess...
Thanks that worked, although I put the venturi, hose and intake cyclinder in boiling water for about 3 min. Fixed the surging and the bubble cutoff issues.
Coralife 65
Bought a used 65, where is the correct height adjustment for the bubble head in the cup? I thought the guy who sold it to me said it was at the bottom of the cup but that does not produce any bubble overflow. At apprx 2" inches above that seems to be working better. Does this...
I am considering purchasing a 1 year old setup, can I get feedback on the pics whether this system looks healthy. I have seen the fish fed and they all looked normal. More concerned about the condition of the coral.
