I would be worried about the stuff that's on the roof that gets collected by the water. I am going to guess it is a glass roof. But bird poop and dust will all run off with the water into your bucket and then into your tank. I have put buckets into the middle of the yard to collect water that...
I started a Facebook Group for the Lafayette/West Lafayette area. Stop by and join. I am freshwater but I also have a friend that does saltwater.

You can use super glue. They use it to hold frags in saltwater and attach roots to logs in freshwater. Just use regular super glue (cyanoacrylate). No special super glue. just regular plain ol super glue. Or 100% silicone. make sure is does not have anything in like mold or mildew...
That usually is the majority of deal killers on aquabid. I got into a club out here and I know every once in a while they do a group buy from somewhere and split shipping. It makes it very reasonable.
It's hit and miss on aquabid. I have found most either photoshop more color into the picture and say, "This is the parent. You are getting fry which will eventually look like them", but of course it is half a year before you will know or they give it color enhancing hormones. I personally...
I feel they are either on one end of the spectrum or the other. I think they will do well as a single, but I think they thrive in groups of 6 or more. I still have all 8 of mine and they completely keep to themselves. They play and chase, but nothing really aggressive at all. I think I have...
Rams are easy. I have 2 Long Fin German Blue's and 2 Bolivians with 5 Angels in the same 75 gallon tank. I also have ghost shrimp and they swim all over the place and even in front of them. I have ZERO aggression. Everyone is happy and runs to the top when you walk by wanting food. I also...
The sad thing is, most people with a problem like this may not have extra tanks to switch fish around in. But sometimes fish can't be retrained. My aggressive molly became a feeder. It broke my heart, but I did all I could and he would not settle down. I won't set up another tank for a molly...
I went to pick up a 10 gallon and it had 2 full grown Gold Gourami's and a 5 inch sailfin pleco. I wasn't expecting the extra fish, but I will say the tank was spotless and clean. They did so much better when i get them home and put them into a 75 gal. I later rehomed the sailfin to a friends 125.
When it is finished cycling, add shrimp first. Otos need some form of algae. You can supplement with wafers, but honestly, I have 3 ottos in my 10 gal with RCS and they are kinda worthless as far as I am concerned. I also have endlers in there that just had a buttload of fry. You will have...
You can also go with African Cichlids and do a all male Peacock and Hap tank. They ave gorgeous colors and not nearly as messy to clean up after. After seeing some feeding frenzies on Youtube, I would hate to have to clean that mess up every time lol.
