ahh to me it was not rocket science. I pulled the rock out of the old tank, placed it in a bucket. Poured the old salt water on top about 1/2. Filled the rest of the buket with RO water and lots of hitchickers bail. Aptasia? not so sure we will see about that.

I have a Seahorse tank....I have added rock on occasion...I like to soak it in a bucket that has water that is hypo salinity. The critters bail out like rats on a sinking ship. Small worms are ok however when they start to get big, I give them the boot

It could be because I set up a small refugium in the overflow with cheato and a a submirsible light for it to grow. Maybe that is why. I pulled some from my refugium in the old tank. I wanted to try and salvage some pods for the new tank. Seahorses are going in it.:brows:

moving my Seahorse tank from a JBJ 28 to a innovative marine 38. I plan to swap the water from one tank to the other. The 38 has been cycling for almost a month now. Do I need to drip acclimate my corals and fish if I swap water? Will the parameters be the same? Or close to it?
