So I have a 10 gal freshwater tank with 2 orange platys and 3 long-fin leopard danios. About 4 days ago one of my little orange platys was floating at the top of the water and I thought he had died for some reason. When I went in with my net, he instantly dove down in the tank and was swimming...
Yeah, I think so, it's the little cage thing at the bottom of the tube that goes into the water. I'll do the sponge thing and the polishing pads and that should help. If that doesn't seem to do it, then I'll go for the stronger 20gal filte. Right?
I have a 10 gallon tank. I like the HOB filters bc they take up much less room in the tank. This is a kit tank from petsmart and it came with an internal power filter, but I had the keep the water level low so that the water could flow out properly. My ammonia ended up getting too high and there...
Awesome! That's makes so much sense. My tank is 10 gallons and I have an air pump and air stone which causes some jostling of the water. Thank you for all of your help. I'm sure this will certainly solve my problem.
I do have a filter pad (if I understand correctly) that is in my filter. It's white and came with the filter. I will look into the polishing pads, thanks!
I have the aqueon 10 HOB filter, the fluval polishing pads say they are designed for a fluval filter, do I just stuff the pad into my filter...
Thank you to you all for your feedback. I do have 5 fish. 2 green Lantern platy and 3 long fin leopard danios.
I'll wash out my filter and see if there is a problem with that.
I do have an air stone but the problem is still there whether or not it's on
So yesterday I posted here about microbubbles causing a problem in my tank. Thanks to one knowledgeable person, I was able to fix that problem - or so I thought that microbubbles were the problem.
So I thought that water was coming out of my HOB filter and causing the bubbles, turns out, I...
What about a cut sponge? would that work as well? I also have an air stone that doesn't produce the microbubbles, just the larger ones so that can help with the surface agitation.
Hello there,
I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank with the Aqueon 06080 QuietFlow 10 Power Filter. We are having a problem with microbubbles - well, at least I think they're microbubbles. It used to be worse when the water was cascading from the filter down into the water like a waterfall, but in...
Hello there, my wife and I recently got our first aquarium. It's 10 gallons. We have 2 green lantern platys and 3 long-fin leopard danios. Joining the thread because I have a problem with microbubbles that I'm hoping to gain some insight on how to reduce/fix the issue.
There are a lot of...
