I just got one of those cute 1.5 gallon aquariums for my desk at work. I put a small (thumbsize) fantail goldfish in it. There are no other fish or plants - do I still need to get an air pump or will he be fine without it? Thanks!!

we've got a 29 gallon. i know it's tight, but i figured it since they hang out on/under/around the rock, it may work.

geez, that profile of our tank was WAY old.... before we knew better about bio-load.

is this even possible? i'd like to give my guy a little buddy. i know it's risky and tomatos aren't as docile as O's. the tomato i have is SUPER territorial. he even nips at me when i reach in to feed the anenomes. i'm probably dreaming.... but.... :roll:

right now, we have a lawnmower blenny in the tank. i picked him up because my diamond goby bought the farm. however, the blenny just doens't do the job that ol' goober did. my question is, if i pick up another diamond goby, will they be compatible? :roll:

i used to have one of those guys... he was my favorite! he took GOOD care of the sand/gravel, but alas, my anenome ate him. i think he might have died and the clownfish carried him over to his little buddy for a quick snack. :( he was really cool to watch. good luck!

i think my flowerpot coral is sick. it used to seem very happy and was always in full bloom unless disturbed. now, it hardly has come out in the past 2 weeks or so. the water quality is the same as usual, everything fine. the salinity is a tad high, but it normally digs that. help!

i read up on the mandaren. definately not the fish for me. i got a lawnmower blenny instead. we'll see how it works out. thanks for all the help!!

well crap. i guess i'd better head out for a replacement. maybe i'll get a mandarin this time.

nope, the snails won't go near the corals. also, watch those snails. they're not the smartest creatures. if they fall off the glass or rocks and land upside down, they'll just die right there unless you can flip them over before it's too late. :wink:
