Suggestions for a new addition please.

The only experience I have had with mixing ages of fish was with my Bleeding Heart Tetras I had 3 and wanted to get enough for a nice shoal so I got 4 more...they were juvies. At first the juvies kind of stayed to themselves as did the adults then about a week or so they were all playing happily...

Suggestions for a new addition please.

I have a small school of tetras in my 30 gal planted, they are striking and colorful, VERY hearty, and stay mid water in a fairly tight group...I have 6 now, but that would be a bare minimum for these guys as they get too nervous in small groups....I would say 6-8 would be good. Hope this helps...

    Cichlid Fridge Tank on "Tanked"

I have thought the same thing watching that show, they just dump fish into the tank straight from a big garbage can? And not like 2-4 fish at a time but like 50!? I would like to hear follow ups on their tanks and how many are still up and running with live fish....

hard to tell from the pics? did they dissappear again? I have heard that its hard to actually get the eggs to hatch unless the water PH is perfect...good luck!!

GBR's Ready to Spawn!? Lots of Pics!

Honestly they may very well have! Corys are like little vacuums and if they laid them in the gravel, forget it-that was a late night snack for the little buggers. If you really want to breed sucessfully, try to isolate the GBR's in their own tank. I even read that snails will eat the eggs! Good...

Updated pics of my 30 g planted :)

oh man, im bad with plant names....Ozelot sword, java fern attached to log, water sprite in the little flower pot, undulata crypts, small wisteria cuttings (that actually took root for me) in front of the little cave and i think thats it. Fishies: 1 German Blue Ram male, 5 bleeding heart...

Re-stock of my 10 gal hex tank

Had to relocate my male German Blue Ram to my FW community tank since he tortured his mate to death. But that gave me a whole 10 gal tank to re-work....LOL! So I ended up getting 6 white fin tetras and 6 ghost shrimp....check out the pics! :-D

Updated pics of my 30 g planted :)

I am so happy with the way my tank has turned out, still adding plants from time to time but I love the look of it! :) I saved the java fern on top of the log! It was down to like 3 little leaves. now its doing great...I attached it there to be closer to the light and it worked! Thanks for looking!

Well so much for that. The other day the male started attacking the female, next day she was dead. Soooooo i have given up, he is now the centerpiece to my freshwater community tank and loving that he is the prettiest....lol RIP little girl :(
