There are different plants that aren't so aggressive and those are the ones you want so they don't take over your pond. Visit a pond shop if you have one nearby. I attached a picture to sure u my plants I have had those for two years they are called black princess.
Oh and I have bogs in like a big pot where I have my plants and filter my pond maybe you can get a couple of those in a pond that big. You don't need a filter system when you have these. It's hooked to the pump and brings water to the plants. The koi's can't get your plants like that.
Yes you can put oxygenating plants in the water some u can place on bricks. You can also get floating plants such as harthorns (I think that's how u spell it) water Lilly will grow above the surface in 3 feet deep water with no problem.

Contacted the store and they still have some. It's in Houston. Maybe you can contact them and they may ship you some or tell u where they get theirs from.
Thanks..found that pot at a neighborhood grocery store and went to home depot and made the plumbing to turn it into a waterfall. Cheaper than most I have found paid 20 dollars for it including plumbing supplies.
