That's too bad you don't ship to Canada... it seems to be the general consensus! The only pet store here is Pet's Unlimited (chain...), but I'm soon going to check out a newly discovered locally owned fish store about 2 hours away. We'll see what they have:)

I've heard anything more than 1/8" bowing really strains the silicone... so if it's bowing more than that, I'd remove the aluminium and clamp it closed some more. Otherwise, you've wasted your time!!

If you can't drain the water, I'd suggest borrowing (or buying if necessary) some bar clamps to help relieve some pressure. Set them up on either side of the brace and SLOWLY tighten them until the bowing is gone. When I say slowly, I mean reallyyyy slowly... the last thing you want is to push...
