Yeah, I'm still deciding what is the better option. I posted this on a cichlid forum and it said that if firemouths weren't kept with other firemouths, they wouldn't get the "red" coloration. Maybe I'll look into a different species...

Yes, I have thought about that but aren't they aggressive? If I get two, I think they would probably have to be a pair if I don't want them to fight. If I get 3 and there are at least one male and female, I'm worried that they will pair off and bully the other one... What is your view on this?
