I bought some rubberized mesh at Joanne fabric for my bearded dragons hammock. I think if I cut small sections of that with a center incision it would work well. You can probably get it at any fabric or hobby shop

So I am planning a planted brackish tank. Is there a certain way to get the plants to anchor in the sand or a certain sand I should use?

And I can attach an inline heater to it? Also is it going to matter if I do sand?

Is it gonna be a problem that the tank won't be near a water source(sink)? It's not going to be routed into the main water or anything.

I would test your tap water to see what your working with to begin with. I have tap water that is 6.5 ph and I made the mistake of using a Ph neutralizer. My Ph dropped to 5. If your Ph does a dramatic drop you can take out some water and dissolve some baking soda in it then re-adding it. but...
