    Toadstool

Yeah I think you right :-/........ I'm having a bad feeling it's cyano bacteria :-( Now that I look at it it's more like red hair algae and my sand bed on one section looks real red. I'll keep checking......

    Toadstool

I have a question???? Does a toadstool nuke a tank when it dies??? Cause since the past heat wave that passed in NYC,it took out only my toadstool and I didn't take it out until three days later when I noticed something like black/brown hair algae coming off it. Then I noticed it was on all the...

    Oscar and frontosa?

You can put lots of different fish mates with the Oscar , even more aggressive ones. Just make sure they are bigger cause oscars grow FAST and anything that fits in its mouth, it probibly will fit it. Ps: I love me some oscars :-)

    HELP anemine dying?

Light is low. Make sure there not a lot of flow on it, And the mouth looks open which is not a good sign either, How deep is your tank? Any tank deeper then 18" I would go with a 4x54w t5. light is EVERY anemone life support, you feeding it comes in second. Hope that helps a bit.GL Ps...

    Nitrate/water changes

It most likely will, do the 50% water change, test every day, and don't miss the weekly water changes, and things will go back to normal. You seem to have a good setup..... Changing 50% everyday will basically wipe out bad & good critters from your water Column ... Making it hard for your tank...

And both of mine woke up on there 8th month and killed my GT that I had, then they beat each other up for a while, I knew they rip up live plants but...

    Cleanup Crew

Doesn't matter, that goby doesn't eat decaying matter, snails DO, but the goby does help with turning over the sand and I think it's the bacteria in the sand that they eat some of.

    Cleanup Crew

You have a good start just not enough IMO. 20 red leg hermit crabs 5 blue leg hermit crabs 50 nassarius snails ( if those the ones that go in the sand) 10 Astraea snails( not much cause they also eat coral line algae) My be two emerald crabs, cause they can flip out and eat zoas or small...

    sandbed help!

Are you talking about live or dry sand? Or Sand that you bought or that's in your tank???

    sandbed help!

No not for saltwater sand. And if you have live sand you shouldn't be disturbing the sand, it's gonna cause mini cycles in your tank. The Bactria in your sand creates nitrogen as waste and when you move the sand you are releasing this gas way to fast. Your tank will stay unbalanced ....
