There is a warning on the box. If you are at an establishment that allows smoking sections and you are not sitting in it, but smell the smoke, blame the management for a poor ventilation system. You could always try plants to out compete the algae for the nutrients.

It would be a bit too small. My cons are evil and attack anything that comes near it. I prefer cons in a large tank where they can have a terratory all their own.
