I have been running a 29 gallon Malawa shrimp only tank for about a year now, and I was planning on adding them to this tank.

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with these shrimp. I was looking into grabbing some of these shrimp but was wondering if anyone had any tips or stories in dealing with this species in particular.

Does anyone have any tips for sexing Brichardi? I can provide pictures but they seem to be photoshy. I have 4 of them and am trying to sex them, they should be reaching sexual maturity soon.

I did try using a filter bag, however every time most of the filter bag ended up inside the filter with the rest barely handing on around the edge of the intake.

How do you secure the cloth to the intake line? The draw is relatively powerful now that it is not spread out so I am worried it might get sucked up or at least allow fish to get stuck on it.
